Your Family Assistant is my way of providing support for those of us who are overworked, overcommitted, and over-scheduled (and then there’s dinner.. The kids haven’t eaten yet!).  Your Family Assistant was officially launched the day my son called from school to tell me that I had forgotten to pack his lunch for a field trip, that I had also forgotten.

I thought:

  1. This definitely wasn’t the first time  that I had forgotten something for school.
  2. I can’t be the only parent struggling with the kids-school-work-life balancing act.
  3. I’m going to fix this!

Also, families of children with  special needs are very special to me! As a pediatric licensed occupational therapist and developmental specialist. I am no stranger to the struggles and frustrations that come along with the multiple  appointments and meetings that go along with orchestrating the needs of a child with special needs. As a parent who has has been on both sides of the table, I completely understand.

I am dedicated to helping other families balance more successfully by focusing  my background as a pediatric occupational therapist, developmental specialist, professional organizer and most importantly PARENT. I have a Master’s degree in special education, over 15 years of experience in medical and educational therapy with specialties in early childhood development and feeding and multiple certifications and 12 years of experience in family coaching.  Not to mention, over 11 years as a parent.  I am devoted to supporting you and being part of the village.
